In the period between 30 October and 4 November 2017, a new round of training courses for energy managers was held. The third training for future municipal energy managers was attended by 30 trainees and another training for future energy managers in buildings was attended by 27 trainees. As with previous training courses this training was also held on the basis of a public call to interested trainees announced in August by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, an institution that, according to the decision of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, has been authorized to conduct training activities for energy managers and energy auditors (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 95/15).

Trainees were addressed by Professor Milos Banjac, Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and by Professor Radivoje Mitrovic, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who welcomed the trainees and wished them success in their professional development and future work in the field of energy management.

During a two-day course the experts of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Maja Matejic and Dragan Urosevic who participated in the training as lecturers, presented the main features and the use of the Energy Management Information System (EMIS) to trainees.
